Buying crushing or screening equipment on sticker price alone is the most expensive decision this industry makes on a routine basis—and I have the invoices to prove it.
I've spent 8 years handling crushing and screening equipment orders for a mid-size quarry group. Jaw crushers, cone crushers, screens, stackers, conveyors—the whole line. In that time I've personally made and documented six significant mistakes that cost us somewhere around $140,000 in wasted budget, rework, and unplanned downtime.
